Michael Charles Anderson's Obituary
Michael Charles Anderson Sr. lost his battle with cancer at his home in Arlington, Texas on January 1, 2015 at the age of 69. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emmalove Anderson; his father, Claude Anderson; his sister, Claudia Simpson and his son, Michael Charles Anderson Jr. He is survived by his daughters, Andrea Lynn Anderson and Michael Ann Anderson Grubb and husband, Sam; grandchildren, Dresden Surber, Madeline Paige Minyard, Max Grubb and Michael Keith Anderson who knew him as “Pop” and loved him very much. He also leaves behind many cherished cousins and dear friends. Before retirement his primary line of work was in that of insurance sales. Michael lived in both Detroit, Michigan and Albany, New York as a child before relocating to Texas where his mother, Emmalove, was from originally. He lived in Texas for most of his adult life. He was a collector of guitars and was an accomplished player of the acoustic guitar. He enjoyed playing pool with his many friends at Fast Freddy’s (aka Puckett’s) in Fort Worth and did so frequently until his health declined significantly over the last few months. A memorial service for Michael Anderson will be held at 3:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home in the Wildwood Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
