Michael Thomas Castaldo was born on December 4, 1938 in Chicago, IL and passed away on May 19, 2016 in Richardson, TX. Preceded in death by: His father Michael Castaldo Sr. and mother Josephine Henkel. Survived by: wife Frieda Castaldo, son Michael Castaldo III and daughter-in-law Karen Crites, daughter Cindy Adams and son-in-law James Adams, four grandchildren Michael Castaldo IV, Joey Castaldo, Chase Adams and Brooke Adams. Mike was a graduate of Christian Brother’s College in Memphis, TN where he met and married the love of his life, Frieda Rhea. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, proudly serving his Nation as a Naval Airman from 1961 to 1969. Mike and Frieda settled down in Richardson, TX in 1974 where Mike worked for Addressograph Multigraph Corporation. In the early 1980’s he started his own business, Total Systems Plastics in Plano, Texas which he ran for over 35 years. Mike enjoyed coaching youth baseball and soccer, bowling in leagues, watching sports, especially attending Dallas Cowboys and Mavericks games, and spending time with family and friends whenever possible. He was a long time member of The Heights Baptist Church, a devout Christian, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. Wherever he was, you know there was a smile on his face and he was touching the life of someone. Service will be held on: Monday, May 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at The Heights Baptist Church in Richardson, Texas Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
