Michael is survived by his sons, Everett Costa and his wife, Trudy; Mike Costa and his wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Brian and his wife, Janette, Shellie and her husband, Fredrik, Sarah and her husband, Josh, and Zack; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Garrett, J.J., and Jakob. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, and by his brothers, Johnny and Tony.
