Michael Dean Diffee's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael "Mike" Dean Diffee, who left us unexpectedly on January 10th, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born on June 2, 1954, in Midland, Texas, Mike was a man whose gentle compassion and kind gestures touched the lives of all who knew him.
A graduate of Dallas Baptist College with a BA in Religion in 1980, Mike's curious mind led him to a lifetime of learning and exploration. He found joy in reading, solving puzzles, and playing games, always eager to engage with the world around him. His love for travel took him on many adventures with his beloved wife, Laurie Diffee, as they shared cruises and road trips, creating treasured memories along the way.
Professionally, Mike worked more than 45 years at Pepsi Bottling Company in Mesquite in Inventory Control. He retired in September 2021.
Mike's empathetic nature and generous spirit were felt deeply by family and friends. He was a hardworking and loyal companion, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a thoughtful word. His warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to share in his journey.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Laurie Diffee; his sister Michele Diffee; his brother Matt Diffee and wife Diane Diffee; their three children Bryan, Jaime, and Patrick and his wife Destiny; their daughter Ava; sister-in-law Sherry Hicks and husband Pat Hicks; their two children Mallory and Canon Hicks; brother-in-law Lonnie Sanders and Ginny Sanders; their two children Justin Sanders, and Crystal Bateman and husband Josh; and father-in-law Neal Sanders. Mike was preceded in passing by his father, Joe Diffee, and mother, Francis Diffee.
In honor of Mike's generous heart, contributions can be made to Missions & Advocacy at Wilshire Baptist Church Dallas, a cause close to his heart.
