Michael Bernard Dolan's Obituary
Michael B. Dolan of Dallas, Texas was born May 7, 1958, in Terre Haute Indiana and passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on July 1, 2023. Michael was brought into this world with 5 mothers. This brown eyed baby boy was a gift from God. In grade school, he could be found roaming the woods of Seelyville. His adventurous side was one of his defining strengths. He was an athlete and a scholar all while living life to the fullest. His first car was a 1948 Plymouth. After graduating from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, he moved to Illinois. In 1984, he decided to start a life in Dallas, Texas. With his first chapter in the Midwest taking a plot twist and making him a Texan…This new chapter brought Mike many lifelong friends (his Dallas family), camping adventures, and chili cookoffs. He furthered his education and earned his Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene V. Dolan and Mary Cecelia Dolan (Bodine) and his brother-in-law Dennis Dugger. He is survived by his brother, John Patrick Dolan, sister Sheila Dugger, sister Margaret Poling, and sister Jeanne Kosco and her husband, John Kosco, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He lived his life to the fullest in Dallas, Texas and he enjoyed his trips back home visiting with his Indiana friends and family. With nightly campfires and evenings where the Fireflies were art in the trees. He was intelligent, a great conversationalist, had a big heart, was stubborn in his ways, and had a thirst for adventure.
