Mr. Michael Hollon's Obituary
Michael Maurice Hollon passed away on Saturday morning, December 28, 2024, after a challenging and several month journey with dementia. He was born on the 19th of May 1944 in Dallas, Texas to William Maurice Hollon and Anna Katherine Johnson Hollon.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Cherry Ann Hollon Fugitt and his best friend and brother-in-law Jesse Raymond Fugitt. He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Karen Costanzo Hollon, his brother Brian Hollon, his sons James Kelley Hollon of Savannah, TX, and Jason Christopher Hollon of Little Elm, TX, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Michael spent many years working as a contract painter, a profession he took great pride in. Outside of work he had a passion for fishing and traveling. But his greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved wife of 22 years, Karen or as he affectionately called her KAK. Michael had a tender heart and loved his family and many friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Karen wants to thank all the caregivers from Apple Care and Honor who provided excellent 24 hour care in our home. The family also wants to thank Brookdale Senior Living Center and Memory Care including Doris Fair, Director of Memory Care as well as the caregiving staff who provided excellent and loving care to Michael. The family also expresses gratitude for Anchor of Hope Hospice Center, in particular Eunice Aidoo, Hospice Nurse.
A memorial service will be held at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas at a later date. Please keep the Hollon family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
