Michael Anthony Lampton, born on January 29, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on November 4, 2024, in Tatum, Texas. Michael lived a wonderful life, filled with many talents and passions. He was an accomplished bass guitarist, a gifted artist, and a loving father.
Michael’s children, Blake, Trevor, and Skylar, remember him as an adventurous dad whose curiosity and creativity were passed down to them. They cherished the moments spent writing songs together, a testament to Michael’s musical talent, which he inherited from his uncle on his mother’s side. His musical journey led him to perform at the Grand Ole Opry in Opryland, and even toured and opened for Brooks & Dunn, leaving behind many stories to tell.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Robert Glenn Lampton Jr, sister Lisa Ann Lampton, and his soulmate, Dori Shoss. He is survived by his beloved children, Trevor Lampton, Blake Lampton, and Skylar Lampton, and his mother, Peg Elaine Luther
Michael will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His legacy of music, art, and love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.
