Michael Clement Lowen's Obituary
Michael Clement Lowen, beloved husband, father, and grandfather transitioned on Saturday, May 1, 2021.
Born on December 31, 1957 in Brooklyn, New York, Michael was a graduate of Canarsie High School. As a young adult, he moved to Dallas, Texas where he embarked on a successful career in sales. He was most recently with State Farm Insurance Company.
A devout Christian and active member of Saint Luke Community United Methodist Church, Michael's spirituality led him to volunteerism as a member of the church’s Sunrise Usher Board, Men's Greeters, and Transportation Ministry. Further fulfilling his desire to help others, for many years he volunteered his time and talent with the Loaves and Fishes shelter for the homeless.
Michael truly loved life. He enjoyed listening to music, traveling, biking, reading, and, above all else, spending time with family and friends.
Well known for his thoughtful nature and ebullient personality, Michael was widely loved and he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Preceded in death by his beloved brother Andre (Regina), and parents Benjamin and Ruth, Michael leaves behind a legacy of love, humor, and kindness.
He is survived by his loving wife, Robin, son, Christopher (Tia), stepchildren, Darah Wright, Darryl Wright, Melina Wright, and Oscar Ochoa, grandchildren, Kamila, Tristan, Amelia, Ezekiel, Anastasia and Giovanna, as well as his close cousins, Paula Aponte (Jose), Hubert Attale (Heather), Yvonne Lowen, and Ron Escoffery and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 15th at 9:30 am at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas; it will be live-streamed at www.restlandfuneralhome.com on Michael’s memorial page.
