MORRIS, MICHAEL KEVIN was born April 2, 1965 in Houston, TX and passed away September 4, 2012 in Dallas, TX. He was prededed in death by his father, Walker C. Morris. Michael is survived by his wife, Ashley Robinson-Morris, Dallas, TX; his two sons, Ethan Walker Morris and Elliott Oscar Morris; mother, Frances E. Morris; brother, David Morris, Dallas, TX; sister, Elizabeth M. Rentner, Austin, TX; mother-in-law, Jane Robinson, Richardson, TX; and birth mother, Sandra York, Houston, TX. When Michael had a mission he was on it. He was dedicated to his family and friends. He loved to learn and teach. He was a good listener. Michael taught me, Ashley, how to take a few moments and process my thoughts before I spoke. Sobriety was very important to Michael. He struggled at times and found himself searching for new ways to be inspired. We all loved him for that. Michael worked as a home builder in Dallas. He took great pride in his business. Ethan and Elliott enjoyed many sports with their father: MX, BMX, football, and baseball. He loved being with his boys. We are all devestated by his early death. May the thought of happiness and kind words cross your lips when you speak of him. He was always working on the next right thing. Visitation will be Friday, September 7th from 6:00-8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service is at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September at Restland Memorial Chapel.
