Michael Wayne Ransom's Obituary
Michael Wayne Ransom, born October 17, 1962, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven March 15, 2009, at Calvary Hospital, Bronx, New York. Michael, the youngest of four children, was born to the parents of L.A. and Marie Ransom. he attended Hamilton Park Elementary School, and Lake High School, in Dallas, Texas. Once graduated, Michael attended The University of Texas at Arlington for one year, before moving to New York to attend The Parsons School of Design. Before moving to New York, Michael at an early age accepted the Lord Jesus Christ and was an active member of The First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park, Dallas, Texas, under the leadership of the Late Dr. Jesse Lee Foster. Michael eventually made his home in Brooklyn, New York, and resided there over 24 years, until the Lord took him home. Michael taught classes at The Pratt Institute of Art. He instructed classes on Maya I Fundamentals (3D Modeling and Rendering) and Maya II (Modeling, Animation and Effects). Michael was well respected by the staff and students, and most remembered by his kind spirit and gentle way. Michael leaves behind his loving mother, two sisters and one brother; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Let us all remember his smile and his kind spirit. A memorial service will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, April 4, 2009 in Restland’s Wildwood Chapel.
