Michael Timothy Rogers' Obituary
Michael “Mikey” Rogers, 40, of Plano, passed away January 7th, 2023, in Crawford, Texas. Please join us for a reception honoring Mikey’s life Saturday, January 28th, from 12 pm- 4pm, with a memorial service at 1pm, at Golf Clubs at the Tribute, 1000 Lebanon Rd., The Colony, 75056.
Mikey was born October 12, 1982, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Janice and Rocky Rogers. The family moved to Littleton, Colorado, in 1983 and then settled in Plano, Texas, in 1991. Mikey attended Plano West High School and was part of the charter graduating class in 2001. He completed a bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance at the University of Arkansas and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Upon graduation, Mikey moved to Dallas, where he worked in sales and commercial credit card services. Mikey welcomed two wonderful children, Knox and Max, into his life. He cherished his time with them and loved nothing more than watching his boys play sports. He was an avid sports fan with a never ending trove of facts and statistics, and always cheered for the Dallas Cowboys, Mavs, and Arkansas Razorbacks (for better or worse.) Mikey loved golf, salt water fishing, playing whiffle ball, watching movies, and shooting hoops with his boys.
Mikey never met a stranger and always left a lasting impression. He had a smile that lit up a room, an infectious laugh, and a kind heart. He will be dearly missed by those that survive him, his sons Knox and Max, their mother Ramona Rogers, father Rocky, mother Janice , sister Elizabeth Mitchell, Brother-in-law Brian, niece Dottie, nephew Marz, partner, Loren Felton, six aunts, two uncles, countless cousins, and a multitude of friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Connie and Jean Imming, Garland and Jannette Rogers and Uncle Buddy Rogers.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation to an account set up for Mikey’s sons, Knox and Max.
