Michael A. Villamil's Obituary
VILLAMIL, MICHAEL ANGELO 68, passed away June 24, 2012 after a brave fight with cancer. Michael was born in New York, New York on December 20, 1943 to the late Angelo and Jessie Villamil. Michael grew up in New York and went on to join the U.S. Navy where he served during the Cuban Missile Crisis aboard the USS Independence and also proudly served in the Navy honor guard. Michael started his long career with American Airlines on October 17, 1967 as an Aircraft Cleaner at JFK and moved his way up through the ranks as a Mechanic, Inspector, and retired as Supervisor on January 1, 2007 in Tulsa, OK. Michael was an avid fan of the New York Jets and Mets and a lover of cars having personally rebuilt a 1950 MG, 1960 Corvette and 1967 Corvette Stingray. However, Michael’s greatest passion was for his family, particularly his beloved wife of 47years, Daisy. Michael is survived by his wife, Daisy, of Anna, TX; son Michael and his wife, Nina, of Frisco and granddaughter, Mercedes, of San Diego, CA; son Mark and his wife, Connie, and grandchildren Amber, Candice and Jonathan as well as 5 great grandchildren of Tulsa, OK; son Paul and his wife, Sheila, and granddaughters Sofia and Marisa of Richardson, TX; sister Nancy and her husband, Michael Theocharidis of Port Orange, FL; brother John and his wife, Belinda Villamil of Quaker Hill, CT; and his adopted in heart son, Andy Jenson of Tulsa, OK. Services will be held at Restland Wildwood Chapel, Dallas at 3:00PM on Saturday; June 30, 2012 with full military honors.
