Michelle Harrison Godo's Obituary
DALLAS, Texas – Michelle Harrison Godo, 49, died peacefully as a result of complications from a spontaneous subdural hematoma, surrounded by her loved ones at 10:25 am Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Baylor University Medical Center. She was born in Dallas, Texas, the daughter the late Donna Harrison. Michelle was a graduate of Highland Park High School and attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where she was a beloved member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. In partnership with her husband, Michelle managed Avon Cleaners in Dallas and was heavily involved in the community and with numerous charitable organizations. Michelle is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Stacy Godo; two children, Karoly and Callie Godo of Dallas, Texas; sisters Mignon (Daniel) Stanley of Nacogdoches, Texas; Shea Rollins of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and nephews Luke, Paul and Aaron Stanley of Nacogdoches, Texas. She is also survived by the many loving friends and family that will miss her loving nature, her sweet spirit and her tremendous generosity. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am, April 14, 2016 at Highland Park United Methodist Church. A celebration of life reception will immediately follow in Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michelle’s name may be sent to Dallas Children’s Theater, North Texas Food Bank, The Stew Pot, or the outreach program at Highland Park United Methodist Church.
