Michelle Pilar Hughes passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at the age of 61 in Richardson, Texas.
Michelle Pilar Kuenzi-Hughes was born on January 11, 1962 in Miami, Florida to Sandra Jeanette Bethune and Charles Lee Kuenzi. She spent most of her youth surrounded by music and found a lot of joy listening to and dancing to Motown.
On October 22, 1988, she was joined in marriage to the love of her life, Dennis Oliver Hughes. Though the beginning of their marriage was far from easy, Michelle remained a devoted and loving partner and mother as they built a life together. Her life was dedicated to being a loving wife, mother, friend, and Nana. She filled her home with love, joy, and music. Always making sure those she loved felt supported and adored.
Michelle made her home a welcome place where friends and family could gather in fellowship and camaraderie.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Dennis Oliver Hughes; her sons, Kristopher Charles Kuenzi and Shawn Jeffrey Hughes; her parents, Sandra Jeanette Bethune and Charles Lee Kuenzi; brother, Michael Godfrey Kuenzi; aunt, Mary Guyneth Enno; and her nephew, Chad Kuenzi.
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Jessica Marie and Denise Nicole Hughes; grandsons, Matthew Dylan and Tristan David Hughes (who were in her care) and Kristopher Kuenzi Jr; granddaughters, Ma’Kayla, Nevaeh, Alayziah Kuenzi, and Cassandra Lynn; sisters, Samantha Bishop and Suzzane Griffin; her brothers, Mark and Justin Kuenzi as well as her beloved in-laws and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She will be missed dearly by all those who were blessed enough to know her.
