Miguila Lopez's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother Miguila Maynez Lopez, age 81. She was a loving mother, and grandmother, a woman of unconditional love for her children, and grandchildren, family and all that knew her. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family.
Miguila was born November 4, 1944, in Pearsall, Texas, daughter of Lucilla Ramirez Rodriguez and Reyes Maynez.
Miguila was employed at Texas Instruments of Dallas for many years as a line supervisor. Miguila drove cargo trucks all over Texas and Oklahoma. She was a stay-at-home loving mother and grandmother for the remainder of her long life. Throughout her life, mother touched many hearts with her willingness to help family, friends, and anyone who asked no matter the circumstances.
Her greatest joy was her family, who she loved deeply, gave selflessly, and created a lifetime of cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come. Mother loved to garden and brought life to all flora in her beautiful garden and was always sharing with family and friends.
Miguila was preceded in death by her mother, father and stepfather Margarito Rodriguez Sr., sister Julia, and brothers Margarito Jr., Osbaldo, and Richard whom she loved immensely and preceded by her son-in-law Samuel who she considered as her son.
Mother is survived by her husband Thomas D. Lopez, daughters Linda, Diana, Sophia, Raquel, and sons-in-law whom she loved like her own sons: Selvester, Robert, Ricardo, and her beloved sister Francis who she loved greatly. She is survived by 14 grandchildren: Selvester, Natalie, Allen, Kevin, Brian, Samantha, Victoria, Hailey, Olivia, Makayla, Mariah, Leo, Antonio, and Tatyana, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild whom she adored greatly, along with many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Mother left a legacy of unconditional love, acceptance of all who came into her life. She was the pillar of her family giving us advice and instilling the importance of education into the minds of all her children, and grandchildren, in which we will pass on for generations to come.
Miguila’s viewing will take place June 14th from 12:00 to 4:00 and her service June 15th beginning at 10:30, followed by her burial at Restland Funeral Home of Dallas.
We love you so much “Mom”, and you will be missed tremendously, but one day we shall meet in heaven and shower you with love, hugs, and kisses.
