Edward Michael Cavins, age 75, was born to parents Oliver E. Cavins and Grace L. Ruley on November 30, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio. He passed away on the morning of Sunday, July 14, 2019 in Plano, Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marian. Mike and Marian Byrd married on May 15, 1980 in Dallas, Texas. He was employed in the transportation and logistics industry throughout his career.He is survived by his daughters, Stacy Chennault of Carrollton, Texas; Trisha Cavins of Dallas, Texas and Michelle Cavins Richardson of Coppell, Texas; sons, Dan Byrd of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Tim Byrd of Madison, Connecticut; Mark Byrd of Raleigh, North Carolina; and Dave Byrd of Denver, Colorado; sister, Connie Dean Cavins Richey of Lavon, Texas; niece, Dena Christine Stovall; and nephew, Robert Christopher Eitel. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica, Steve, BJ, Brandi, Mat, Beth, Shelly, Adam, Louisa, Piper, Stone and Nick; and great grandchild, Ada.Nothing brought Mike more joy than sharing stories of his loved ones.Funeral service for Mike Cavins will be on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
