Mildred Wylie Boyd's Obituary
Boyd, Mildred Wylie Born December 22, 1916 in Prescott, AR and passed away June 16, 2012 in Plano, TX. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill (Cowboy Rambler) Boyd; parents, Julia Burks Wylie and Thomas Ray Wylie; sisters, Margaret French and Laverne Pezet. Mildred is survived by her loving daughter, Sue Cruse of Plano; granddaughters, Carolyn Cruse of Lubbock and Christina Chapman of Allen; grandson, Will Cruse of Plano; son-in-law, Robert Thomas of Plano; grandsons-in-law, Rob Farrer of Lubbock and Rob Chapman of Allen and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Mildred went to her Heavenly Home peacefully in her sleep after a lengthy illness. She rests today with her Heavenly Family and our Blessed Lord. She was a remarkable and magnificent woman, mother, grandmother, friend, a talented musician and a creative writer for many years for Bill’s radio show on WRR and for Drilling Magazine. She was deeply loved. She will be missed. Family will receive friends on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Restland Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 23 at 2:00 pm in The Sanctuary at Custer Road United Methodist Church, Plano, TX with reception following. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Music Ministry at Custer Road United Methodist Church and /or Hope’s Door Women’s Shelter.
