Mildred Earlene "Cubby" Norris Krauss' Obituary
Cubby, age 91, passed away at WALNUT PLACE NURSING HOME in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, November 26, 2015 from a long illness. She was born to William Earl & Georgia Jewell (Roberson) Norris on July 11, 1924 in Celina, Collin County, Texas. She grew up in Celina graduating from Celina High School in 1941. She married Andrew Krauss in 1944. They had no children. She was of the Baptist faith all her life, spending the last 60 years as a member of Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas. She was a member of the Corkran Bible Study Class. She worked some during her life but was a housewife for most of it. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew F. Krauss; parents Earl and Jewell Norris of Celina, Texas; brother Paul(Buck) Norris of Celina and Canton, Texas; and a much loved niece Paula Sue Norris. She is survived by her sister-in- law Virginia Norris of Canton, Texas; nephew Dr. Mark Norris of Dallas and his wife Paula; their daughter Marquin and her husband; their son Alan; Paula Sue’s daughter Laura and her husband; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Leonard and Lois Krauss and their family; and devoted friend Flo bums. The Krauss family deeply appreciates the excellant care given by the staff on 3-south for almost nine years. Earlene(Cubby) lies in state at Restland Funeral Home on Greenville Ave in Dallas with the wake scheduled for 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the Restland Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the Restland Abbey Chapel at 3 PM with a preacher from Park Cities Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. Memorials may be made to Park Cities Baptist Church, P.O. Box 12068, Dallas, Texas 75225 in Cubby’s name or give to the charity of your choice.
