Mildred Marie Eubanks' Obituary
EUBANKS, MILDRED MARIE (LIECHT) After nearly a century of a blessed life, Mildred Marie Leicht Eubanks went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2011. Born in 1917 in Winfred, SD and being shaped and strengthened by the Great Depression in Des Moines, IA, she was 1 of 7 children of Alma and Arthur Leicht. She was married to Bill Eubanks, living her middle years in Amarillo, TX where she was active at Polk Street United Methodist Church. Upon moving to Dallas she was an involved member and volunteer at Spring Valley United Methodist Church for the past 40 years. She both gave and received much love throughout her full life. She spent her final years with the excellent senior care from Signature Pointe on the Lake. She was an active parent and grandparent into her last years. She is survived by her sons, Dennis and Ron Eubanks, their wives Kay and Melissa; her grandchildren Cari Parr and husband Jay, Deric Eubanks and wife Emily, Kelly Juon and husband Marc, Emily Eubanks, Alex Eubanks and Jason Nolte; her great-grandchildren Brendan and Nathan Parr, Dylan and Ella Eubanks; her sister Ruth Leicht Zaffle, brother Sheldon Leicht; nieces Shannon Jones, Suzanne Cobb, Sue George, and nephews Doug Leicht and Hugh Tidwell. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday April 9 at Spring Valley United Methodist Church in N Dallas, preceded by a family visitation Friday evening 6-8pm at Restland in Dallas. Interment will be at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Plano. At her request, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Ministry at Spring Valley United Methodist, 972-233-7671.
