Mildred Augusta Fiedorek's Obituary
Mildred Augusta Fiedorek passed away peacefully at home in Dallas, Texas on May 8, 2020. Millie was devoted to Gene, her husband of sixty-seven years, her children Stephen, Sandra, and Mark, and their families, especially her thirteen beloved grandchildren: Kellie, Christopher, Michael, Daniel, Thomas, and Patricia Fiedorek; Walter and Helen Heymann; and Eric, Craig, Ryan, Sarah, and David Fiedorek. Millie had one great-granddaughter, Christopher and Monica’s daughter, Meghan. She brought Millie great joy.
Millie was born to Sophia Elin and Erick Julius Erickson in Skanee, Michigan, and grew up in a family of five sisters and four brothers. Though her siblings preceded her in death, she maintained close and active relationships with her nieces and nephews and their families. Millie and Gene traveled extensively, yet she was always happy to return to her circle of friends in Dallas, many of whom she had known since her first years in Texas. Millie was a long time member of King of Glory Lutheran Church.
A private ceremony will be held graveside at Restland Cemetery in Dallas on Thursday, May 14th. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Children’s Medical Center Foundation, in Dallas, or the charity of your choice. The Fiedorek family is deeply thankful to Elvia Guerrero and, especially, Fidela Mendoza, for their kindness and steadfast help in caring for Millie.
