Mildred "Thea" Gourley's Obituary
Mildred Kimmell Gourley, age 88, of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully on July 15, 2011 at home. She was born on January 31, 1923 in Rising Star, Texas to her parents, Samuel and Mable Kimmell. Mildred married Jack Gourley, the love of her life, in Pampa, Texas on June 21, 1944. She was a long time resident of Dallas, Texas, was employed by Neiman-Marcus for many years, and was a member of White Rock United Methodist Church. Mildred will be remembered with love by her children, Jack Gourley, Jr. and Susan O’Neill, and her daughter-in-law Catherine Gourley; and also by her sister-in-law Sue Travis and her husband Bob. She is survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Ashley O’Neill, Craig Carter, Scott O’Neill, Danielle O’Neill, Brian Gourley, Erin Moore Gourley, Anne Gourley Desloge, Matt Desloge, Allison Gourley Burke, Ryan Burke, Isaac Jones, Caroline Carter, Andrew Carter, Finley Grace O’Neill, and Jack William Gourley. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband and parents. Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service for Mildred at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Restland.
