Mildred Juanita Mandrona's Obituary
Mildred Juanita Mandrona – passed away softly on September 30, 2011. Born in Frost, Texas to Norma and Whitney Clonts on January 31, 1919. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Mandrona, of 22 years and also by her sister, LaVerne Blauvelt. She is survived by niece, Mary Kiefer and husband Michael; nephew Ashley Blauvelt and wife Shirley. She enjoyed family, traveling, playing bridge, her girlfriends, bible study, book reviews and her church. Mildred was a member of the Town North Women’s Club and the Dallas Newcomers Bridge Club. She retired from Sears as a bookkeeper after 27 years of service. She was a long time resident of Dallas and a long time member of Highland Park United Methodist Church and member of the AYA Sunday School Class for over 50 years. After retirement from Sears, she volunteered for over 10 years with Contact Telephone Counseling. She loved helping people and was always available for prayer support or anything anyone needed. She volunteered for many years for the Prayer Tower for HPUMC. She was a beloved Aunt and Friend. She lived her life well and was well loved. Thank you to the staff of signature Point on the Lake for their loving and compassionate care during her last two years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HPUMC, for the Prayer Tower, 3300 Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75205.
