Mildred Elizabeth Spikes' Obituary
Mildred Elizabeth Spikes, 94 of Irving, Texas, passed away on October 28, 2020. She was the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth Mucke Koslan. She was born on November 7, 1925 in Sparenberg, Texas
She graduated from high school in Giddings, Texas where she attended business school. Millie met Paul Spikes in Austin and they married on December 12, 1944 in Poplar Bluff Missouri. They moved to Dallas after Paul’s discharge from the service in 1945. Millie worked in the insurance field all of her life and retired from Crum and Foster Insurance Company.
Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her parents, Ernest and Elizabeth Koslan; her two brothers, Delbert and Floyd Koslan.
Millie is survived by her two sisters, Velma Porterfield (Hardy) of Cedar Park and Delta Harrison (Gene) of Jenks, OK; her sisters-in-law, Nancy Koslan and Laverne Spikes; also, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church
