Mildred Morgan Terry's Obituary
MILDRED MORGAN TERRY Mildred was born in Memphis, Tennessee, July 20, 1921 to the parentage of Marie Nelson and Otha Davis, a very blessed couple in that Mildred was an identical twin. Both parents preceded her in death. She was reared in Memphis and educated in the Memphis Public School System. Her father was a Pentecostal minister and she grew up in a Christian environment. She accepted Christ very early in life. She moved to Texas in 1950 where she became a silk finisher pressing specialist at Mullens Cleaners for a number of years. She then became a laboratory assistant in a gynecological laboratory for many years. She also was a caretaker for an elderly client. She was married twice. She married Bill Morgan in 1958. There were no children resulting from this union. After divorce she later married L.C. Terry in 1975 and there were no children resulting from this union. Both husbands preceded her in death. Her twin sister, Hildred, preceded her in death in February of 2000. She was a very faithful member and mother of The United Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ in Dallas where she united with them in 1978. She leaves to cherish her precious memory, sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Morgan of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Tullia Basowala of Los Angeles, California; nephews, Mr. Jesse Hatcher Jr. of Dallas, Texas, Rev. Douglas Jessie of Carrollton, Texas; nieces, Mrs. Gwendolyn Hatcher-Hooker of Alameda, California, Mrs. Beverly Hatcher Christensen of Los Angeles, California; great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews, and a host of friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday, December 27, 2010 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Restland Abbey Chapel.
