Milton Leonard Aucoin Jr.'s Obituary
Milton Leonard Aucoin, Jr., 84, was born on February 21, 1933, and went to meet the Lord on April 27, 2017. Milton is preceded in death by his wife Rita Joyce Aucoin, and his parents, Milton Leonard Aucoin, Sr. and Rosemary Aucoin. He is survived by his two children Carolyn and Christopher, three grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, as well as his brother James Aucoin. Milton was born in Norco, Louisiana, and later his family moved to Sulphur. He graduated from LSU in 1955. He served in the Presidential Honor Guard while in the Army. In his career, he was an executive at Sanger Harris in Dallas, Texas, responsible for home furnishings and accessories for all stores. Later, he became an executive at Smulekoff’s in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. As a founding member of All Saints Catholic Church, Milton was very active with the interior design of the church. Milton loved his family very much, and spent his entire life in support of his family. After his wife Rita Joyce’s passing in October, 2016, he was very grateful towards the dedicated family members, friends, and caregivers who visited, comforted, and cared for him in the final months of his life. A Rosary prayer service will be held at Restland Funeral Home – Memorial Chapel on May 4th at 6:00 PM, followed by Visitation from 6:30-8:30 PM. A funeral Mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church on May 5th at 11:30 AM, followed by a gathering afterwards in the Fellowship Hall. Entombment to immediately follow at Restland Memorial Park – Whispering Waters Mausoleum. Restland Memorial Park is located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243, and All Saints Catholic Church is located at 5231 Meadowcreek Dr, Dallas, TX.
