Milton Norris Machost Born January 28, 1920 Raised April 9, 2009 Married his Bride, Gertrude Blaner, March 1, 1941….68 years together Survived by wife, Gertrude, and 5 children: Milton Jr., Keith, Brenda Kroll, Dennis, Nancy Taylor Blessed with 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren Preceeded in death by one sister, Mealie and 1 grandson, Luke Proudly served his country in the US Army in the Army AirCorp 1941-44 where he was stationed in Guam. After a career is the Life Insurance business, Milton and Gertie sought a more peaceful life and moved to the Lake Tawakoni area where they owned a snack food business, M&M Sales, until his retirement in 1982. On the lighter side, Milton never met a stranger and loved visiting with people. He avidly loved the outdoors and working in his Garden. Served on the Board of Directors for the Lone Oak School System for several terms. An active volunteer for the Disabled American Veterans in Bonham where he served as Commander. In Nov 2006, he and his wife moved to Dallas to live closer to family. Family will receive friends from 2:00 – 5:00 PM, Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be 3:00 PM, Monday, Aprl 13, 2009 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
