Minimol Philip Lukose's Obituary
Minimol Lukose, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on July 6, 2025 at her home. She was only 58 years old.
Born on May 25th, 1967, in Manjoor South, Kerala, India, Minimol lived a life of love, kindness, sacrifice, and bravery. She moved to America on August 20th, 1985, at the young age of 18 and fought for everything she ever had.
She married Benny Lukose on 6/27/1993 at St. Stephen’s church, her dream, in Kurumulloor, India, but they had to spend some time apart while she waited for him to arrive in America. They exchanged beautiful love letters along the way. She recounts all the blessings she had from her marriage. She tragically lost her husband on June 16, 1999.
Despite her battle with depression since 1992 and her immense grief, she was able to be very strong for her two young children in a country and language still foreign to her. She would always provide for her family. She took on multiple jobs while at the same time taking care of all the cooking, cleaning, and still leaving time to make her children feel loved and special. Her resilience and bravery were truly unmatched.
She was such a light to her family and friends. She’ll be remembered for her infectious smile and laugh. You could hear her across the house at a party, cracking jokes. She was surrounded by a mighty family, with her siblings, their spouses, and their many children, who she loved so deeply. She would do anything for anyone. Despite her not having much wealth, she would be so generous with whatever she had and with loads of love to anyone she would meet. She could spark a genuine conversion with anyone. She had an incredible number of friends everywhere she worked. She had a way of connecting with people through her smile and her need to truly get to know them. It also helped that she had the best cooking skills out there.
She is survived by her children, Chris, Christy, and her favorite: her dog, Bruce. Her legacy of love, resilience, humor, independence, intelligence, generosity, and determination will live on.
She was deeply rooted in God and the Catholic church, often attending or watching mass every day. She had such a quiet strength as she leaned on Jesus. She will be deeply missed, but she can now lay down to rest with God to lay His arms around her and be reunited with her beloved husband.
