Minnette Hyman Puckett's Obituary
Minnette Hyman Puckett passed away peacefully after a short illness, just a few months short of her 90th birthday. Born September 24, 1935 in Dallas she graduated from Adamson High School in 1954 and married to the love of her life Joseph Levi Puckett Jr, March 19, 1955 (who proceeded her in death). She is survived by her 4 daughters, Ann (Rick) Parker, Janet Stovall, Kathryn (John) McDonald, and Jody (Elaine Curry) Puckett. 5 Grandchildren, Jessica Daniels Fortney (proceeded her in death) Jason (Endearment) Parker, Eric Daniels, Melissa (Jarrett) Hayman, Jimmy (Kale) Stovall. 6 great grandchildren, Samantha (Sergio) Garcia, Charles Fortney, Carissa Fortney, Tatum, Phoenix and Sophia Parker, 3 great great grand children, Nash Garcia, Christopher and Corey Jospeh King. Also her brother Lee (Carol) Hyman, and sister Betty (Earnest) Cotton (who proceeded her in death) She has many family members in Colorado and Friends at the Chateau on Wild Briar Lake. She retired in 1999 from the Dallas County Tax Office, starting at the Irving office and ending her career at the North Dallas Substation. She spent her retirement years enjoying traveling (with her Cruise Buddies) and time with her family. Her activities included the Red Hat Club, Dallas Glass Club, Department 56 as well as the Tejas Corvette Club, in which her and Joe would support and celebrate each other's clubs and events. She had a servants heart and her philanthropy included Oak Haven United Methodist Church and Family Promise of Irving. Visitation is June 19th from 6-8 PM at Restland, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Tx 75243. A celebration of life is scheduled for June 20th at 11 AM at Spirit of Unity Church (the chapel at First United Methodist Church) 211 W 3rd St, Irving Tx 75060
