Minnie Gee Keah's Obituary
On Monday, July 11, 2022, Minnie Gee Keah, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at 71.
Minnie was born on September 10, 1950, in Albuquerque, NM to Gine Chong and Toy Woon Mah Gee. She graduated from Hobbs High School in 1968 and then attended the University of New Mexico. She went to work at Employers Casualty Insurance, then was a stay-at-home mom working for Taylor Publishing. She subsequently worked 25 glorious years as a Regional Manager for Arbitration Forums. On June 14, 1969, she married the love of her life, Ed Keah. They raised two children, Geoff, and Nicole.
Minnie never met a stranger. She was the consummate professional, but also one of the kindest humans one would ever meet. She loved her children and absolutely adored her 4 grandchildren, which seemed to give her a renewed sense of life. She was an unparalleled host, frequently holding gatherings for her close family and friends. Minnie was a true champion for the underdog, which is the real embodiment of who she was.
Minnie was preceded in death by her father, Gine Chong; Mother Toy Woon Mah; brother Stanley and Edward; sister Connie; and nephew Howard. She survived by her husband Ed Keah; son Geoff Keah and wife Jaclyn (2 children – Collin and Camille); daughter Nicole Rodriguez and husband Tony (2 children – Ansley and Aniston); sister Margie Singleton and husband Glen; brother Andy Gee and wife Pat; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 23 from 6:00-8:00pm, followed by a memorial service on Sunday, July 24 at 10:00am, both at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243
