Minnie Delilah Parker's Obituary
PARKER, MINNIE DELILAH SHEPARD Delilah was born December 30, 1923 in Elmo, Texas and passed away July 24, 2012 in Sunnyvale, Texas. Delilah retired from Texas Instruments in 1989 after 29 years of faithful service. Upon her retirement, she provided leadership as a volunteer in the City of Mesquite Seniors Program. Delilah received many awards in this capacity including public recognition of her efforts by the Mayor of Mesquite. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ethel Pearl Shepard; step-mother, Myrtle Shepard; son, Bobby Malone; brothers William Crawford, Maurice, Herschel, and James Shepard; and sister, Vessie Shepard. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sylvia Langston and husband Bill; granddaughter Michelle Anglin and husband Michael; grandson Michael Malone and wife Joyce; great-grandchildren Ashley Anglin, Emily Malone, Lauren Malone, Lindsey Malone, and Natalie Anglin; great-great grandson, Ashton Wagner; sisters Nancy Jo Williams and husband Frank, and Donna Ann Coker; brothers Paul Shepard and wife Louise, John Allen Shepard and wife Terri, and Charles Shepard and wife Georgia; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, July 27, 2012 at Restland Memorial Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the chapel.
