Mrs Minnie Bertha Rose's Obituary
ROSE, MRS. MINNIE BERTHA passed away October 28, 2010, in Dallas, Texas. She was born April 17, 1908 and lived most of her life in El Paso, Texas, except over the last 4 years which she has spent in Dallas with her family. She was married to Daniel George Rose for 64 years, who preceded her in death on November 30, 1997. Minnie was a life-long member of Zion Lutheran Church in El Paso, which was an important part of her life. She was active there in the Miriam Society. She was the youngest of four sisters, including Pauline Weber, Elizabeth Stevenson and Hattie Huston. Their lives revolved around their close-knit families. She is survived by her daughter, Bertha (Bertie) Rose Duchouquette and her husband, Dr. Robert Duchouquette, grandsons Robert Duchouquette, Jr., Brian Daniel Duchouquette and his wife Tracy. She also is survived by three great-grandchildren, Rebecca Ann Duchouquette, Daniel Paul Duchouquette, and Jacob Evans Duchouquette. Mrs. Rose is also survived by nieces Betty Neilson, Laureen Cathey and nephew Curtis Stevenson. Minnie enjoyed traveling, especially summers with her grandchildren. She also collected antiques, did needle work and has always remained active. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, in Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, with the service celebrating her life to be held at 3:00 PM. A graveside service will be held in El Paso, Texas, Saturday November 6, 2010. A grave-side service will be held in El Paso, Texas on Saturday November 6, 2010. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Parkinson Foundation.
