Miriam Amanda Boggs Henry's Obituary
Miriam Amanda Boggs Henry went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 12, 2021.
Miriam was born near Reilly Springs, Hopkins County, Texas, on May 30, 1924 to William and Callie Boggs. Following graduation from Cumby High School, she moved to Dallas to continue her education and join the business world. While living in Dallas she met and later married Marcus L. Henry Jr. on December 1947 and together they raised two daughters. A longtime member of Gaston Avenue Baptist Church and Wilshire Baptist Church, Miriam was a true servant of the Lord, devoting her life to fulfilling the needs of family, friends and many others. She studied and lived by Biblical principles, exemplifying and bringing the love of God to others. Through her example, our beloved Mimi consistently and selflessly taught, mentored, cared for and prayed for countless people. She inspired others to live life as she did. Well done, good and faithful servant!
Miriam was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus, and sister, Mary Louise Clem. She is survived by her daughters: Marsha Clay and husband, Steve, of Dallas; and Melinda Dixon and husband, James, of Eastland County. Grandchildren: Lee Clay, Lacey Liggitt, Bryan Dixon and Allyson Battaglia; and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Miriam at Wilshire Baptist Church will be determined at a later date.
