I met Misty the day after Labor Day in 1981. We were immediate friends. I've loved Misty for 44 years.
Every time I have heard the song "Stop! In the Name of Love" I'm reminded of the piano bar we were at when we jumped up on stage and started singing along using the hand motions. Makes my heart warm and brings a huge smile to my face.
She sure did love her Dallas Cowboys. She had a huge Super Bowl party at her house when Dallas played the Buffalo Bills. At the end of the game Misty and I were waving pom poms and jumping up and down on her beautiful white couch yelling "52-17". Ron was none too happy about us jumping on that couch :)
We had so many fun times together!!
More importantly Misty had such a huge heart. When she loved you, you knew it. I will cherish her love and friendship for all of my days. I'm in Florida now and could not get back in time. I will be there in spirit.
To Paul, Heather, Lauren, Lindsay, Kyle, Dad, Bull & Josh: I am so very sorry you have to learn how to live life without Misty. She was an amazing woman, friend, wife, mother, daughter and sister. I hope you can find strength through each other. I love you all and I loved Misty from the day I met her.
