Mitzi Joyce Lancaster's Obituary
Lancaster, Mitzi Joyce passed away March 14, 2011, peacefully into the presence of her Lord, following a courageous struggle with ALS. She was born July 19, 1943 in Memphis, TN to Douglas and Rosemary Brown, preceding her in death. She leaves her loving husband of 48 years, Mark, and daughters Sylvia (Lars) Frisby and Laura (Keith) McCarn, and four grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Rosemary (David) Bramuchi and brother Tim (Lisa) Brown and many dear friends. She graduated from Humes High School and attended MSCW and Baylor University. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a long-time member of Bible Study Fellowship, serving as a discussion leader and class administrator. She was a member of Stonebriar Community Church. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 18th at 12:30 pm at Restland Wildwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the ALS Association (www.alsanorthtexas.org) or the MDA/ALS Division (www.als-mda.org).
