Molly Harper Potter's Obituary
POTTER, Molly Harper Potter passed away peacefully with her devoted husband, Jim, by her side on December 23rd, 2017 due to the progression of Multiple Sclerosis. She was born in Dallas, Texas on May 16, 1943, to Minnie Gray Harper and Benjamin Preston Harper. She is survived by her husband, Jim D. Potter; children Lori Potter Dreher, Paige Potter Mayfield, H. Kent Potter; son-in-laws Whit Dreher and Dial Mayfield, and daughter-in-law Angie Potter; grandchildren Anna Dreher, Ben Dreher, Harper Mayfield, Boone Mayfield, Sam Potter, Luke Potter, and Olivia Potter. She is preceded in death by her parents, Minnie Gray Harper, Benjamin Preston Harper, and sister Polly Harper Nelson. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Texas and attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. She was married to her childhood sweetheart and the love of her life, Jim Potter, for 54 years and treasured the life they built together with their three children and seven grandchildren. Molly spent her life devoted to her family and the preschool children she loved to teach. She was known for her unwavering faith, grace, and strength. Molly did not allow her over 30 year battle with MS to define her. Her determined spirit and perseverance were admired by all who knew her. She encouraged others to never, ever, ever give up. She always counted her blessings and fervently believed in the power of a positive attitude. We will celebrate her life on Thursday, January 4th, 2017 at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
