Monroe P. Pritchett's Obituary
Monroe P. Pritchett was born January 1, 1923 in Lamesa, TX and passed away April 2, 2018 in Garland, TX.He was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force where he served in World War II. After serving his country he spent 37years managing J.C. Penney stores. Upon retirement he joined the staff of Prestonwood Baptist Church Library, where he was employed for 30 years.Monroe was preceded in death by Father, Clyde Pritchett, Mother, Mary Myrtle Parkinson; Brothers Bruce, Billy and Richard Pritchett and sister Mary Paquin; and wife Dorothy L. Pritchett.He is survived by son, Monty C. Pritchett and wife Dalinda; Daughter Marcy L. Woods and husband Jeff; Grandchildren Emily, Karen and husband Kyle, Cutter and Audie; and seven nieces and nephews.There will be a service will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Faith Chapel, Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W. Park Blvd, Plano, TX 75093. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prestonwood Baptist Church Library.
