Monrow Lee Trammell's Obituary
Monrow “Red” Trammell, age 80, was born November 2, 1939 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, November 24, 2019.He is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Jackie Trammell, his wife Marcia Trammell, sisters Cindy Hinkle and Sue Trammell, his brother Bobby Trammell, and his daughter Tami Davenport.Mr. Trammell is survived by loving wife, Barbara Gold, his brother Cecil Trammell, daughter Kelli Trammell Williams and Dennis Venable of Mobile, Alabama, stepson Brandon Gold and mother-in-law Adrienne Gold of Dallas, two grandsons Joey Schemmer and wife Megan, Rickey Schemmer and wife Rachel, and four great-grandchildren Haley, Josie, Austin, and Eden all of Mobile, Alabama, son in law Pete Belmer and his faithful companion, an Australian Shepard named Ike.He graduated from Sunset High School. He started his career working in the warehouse at Ruberoid Roofing Company in Dallas. After the company was bought out by GAF Corp., he was transferred to Houston for GAF Corp. as Sales Manager. After a year, he was promoted to Regional Sales Manager and transferred to Mobile, Alabama. Later, he was promoted to Regional Sales Director and transferred back to Dallas. He attended Texas Christian University later in life. Later on, he opened his own company, Shamrock Roofing in Dallas, and ran the company until he retired in 2004. He loved spending time on the golf course, as he had a passion for playing golf. Many have been fortunate enough to spend time with Monrow who was an extraordinary man. He influenced and encouraged so many and left a loving legacy behind for many to remember and cherish.He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Monrow will be greatly missed.The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Dr. Mark Fleschler and his staff for their outstanding care. Services for Mr. Trammell provided by Restland Funeral Home, with viewing on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 9:00 A.M. – 9:30 A.M., followed by a Graveside service at 10:00 at Restland.
