Morgan Clair Dunn's Obituary
Dunn, Morgan Clair, age 23, of Dallas, Texas passed away on Sunday evening October 30, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. Morgan was born August 10, 1993 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, welcomed by her parents, Martha and Steven Dunn, and her older brother, Hanford. Morgan had been bravely battling an eating disorder for seven years. After a long and courageous fight, she finally succumbed and is now resting peacefully without pain or fear in her Lord’s arms. Morgan attended St. Monica Catholic School and, later, Ursuline Academy from which she graduated in May, 2012. She was an honor student, member of the cross country team, and a gifted artist. Morgan was a vibrant, beautiful young woman with a keen intellect and razor-like wit. Her smile brightened all those around her, even during the toughest times. With her outgoing personality and enormous spirit, she made friends easily wherever she went. When you were with Morgan, you couldn’t help but laugh. She placed other people’s needs before her own. A friend who met her during treatment eloquently summed up Morgan by stating, “she fought hard, played hard, and loved mightily.” Morgan is survived by her mother, Martha; father, Steven; brother, Hanford; niece, Kennedy; grandparents, Greg and Donna Robertson and Dick and Vera Dunn. Her family and friends loved her dearly throughout her short life and are comforted that she is no longer suffering. A memorial and celebration of life service will be held at 1:00pm Friday, November 4, 2016, at Cox Chapel, Highland Park United Methodist Church, 3300 Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Morgan’s honor to NEDA at nationaleatingdisorders.org.
