Morris Holman's Obituary
Morris Haggard Holman, age 81, was born to parents Morris Campbell Holman and Dorothy Haggard in Dallas, Texas. He passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. Morris proudly served his country in the United States Army. He will be deeply missed by his loving family, his devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who came to know and love him.Morris loved the Lord, his family, his dogs, fishing, Dallas Stars hockey, and teaching, whether it was the gospel or history. He loved his time with his ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) Club. He was a respected and well-liked Professor of History in the Dallas County Community College District for 45 years. He taught Sunday School at White Rock United Methodist Church for 20 years. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He delighted in spending time with them and having a positive impact on their lives. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by Sonja, his wife of 60 years; daughters, Heather Holman and husband, Ran; Holli Holbert and husband, Jim.
