Myrna Sue Schulze's Obituary
Myrna Sue Schulze passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, in Allen, Texas, just one day before her 88th birthday with family by her side. Born on September 8, 1937, in Dallas, Texas, Myrna lived a life marked by devotion to her family and those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha Sue and James Franklin Dooley; her birth father, Gavan Garrett; her sister, Sylvia Ann Sowders; and three of her children: Julie Ann Smith, Gerald Wester, and Carol Ann Thompson (step-daughter).
Myrna is lovingly remembered by her children: John Patrick Wester, Glenn Austin Wester, James D. Schulze, David E. Schulze, and Linda Mills and their families. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought joy to her life. Her sister Kathy Howden also survives her.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in the Restland Memorial Chapel. Restland is located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Susan G. Komen, or the Texas Oncology Foundation.
