Myrta R. Persons' Obituary
PERSONS, MYRTA R. STEWART Myrt went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2012. She was born June 5, 1912 in Dodson, LA. Myrt graduated from LSU and taught biology before marrying the love of her life, Al Hill, in 1937. Together, they loved to travel and built a wonderful life together in Dallas, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents Dr. John “Doc” Stewart and Eva Stovall, brothers Corbia Stewart and Roy Stewart, Step-Mother Kate Stewart, and husbands Al Hill and John Persons. Myrt is survived by her brother Toby Stewart and wife Becky, her sister-in-law Marcile Stewart, Roy’s children, whom she helped raise, Rick Stewart and wife Gretchen, John Stewart and wife Bet and Sally Stewart Kitts and husband Billy along with several other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She is extremely loved and her legacy will live on through her namesakes. The family would like to thank the staff of Faith Hospice and Walnut Place for their loving care. Celebration of life services will be held at Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home Wednesday, June 20th at 10am with interment following in Restland Memorial Park.
