Myrtis Worsham's Obituary
Myrtis was born on September 10, 1913 in Rising Star, Texas to Willie Elizabeth Glover and Lester Strawn Glover, the second of four daughters. Myrtis passed away on May 25, 2011 following a brief illness. Myrtis was married to Willis Marvin (Red) Worsham on February 29, 1936. Her husband preceded her in death in 1970. She is survived by her children, Martha Evans, Robert Worsham, and Linda Kattner; grandchildren – Chris Worsham, Glen Worsham, Shelly Wilson, Holly Evans, Jason Hall, and Amanda Hall. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Myrtis’ sisters, Johnnie and Billie preceded her in death. She is survived by her older sister, Mozelle Roberts, 98, of Tyler, Texas. Myrtis was a faithful member of the Lord’s church since she was a young woman. Even in her 80’s she assumed the responsibility of teaching women’s bible classes, and doing home bible studies. Her favorite pastime was visiting with others, and encouraging whomever she met with a great smile. She was a treasure to her family and she treasured them. Her influence will be felt for many years to come.
