When my family and I moved to Waxahachie in 1999, Myrtle helped us get acclimated to our new town and would pick up our girls from school on ocassion. The girls, Micah and Meredith still laugh to this day how Myrtle would drive through the car line in her !Cadillac with curlers in her hair to pick them up!
I remember the goodies she would bring from the Baylor Auxilliary where she was a faithful team member. She always looked so neat in her Auxilliary jacket and she always had so much fun and great tales to tell. She would not let anything interfere with her scheduled work days. Anyway, one time she brought me a fur coat and I loved it....until all the fur began falling off!
Myrtle was a faithful member of her church, Christ the King Lutheran, and to her family and friends. She was a strong woman who traveled independently, took care of her own business and drove all over the DFW area!
I want to be Great Aunt Myrtle when I grow up!!
We Love You Myrtle!
