Nadene Bonlyn LaTour's Obituary
Nadene Bonlyn LaTour, 98, of Garland, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in Mesquite, Texas. She was born on January 7, 1921 to Mike Cooksey and Ethel Blackburn in Temple, Texas. Nadene married Vic LaTour on May 5, 1941 in Dallas, Texas. She was a bookkeeper at Lloyd’s Jewelers for 30 years. Nadene was a charter member of Catholic Daughter of America in Dallas, Texas and a member of American Business Women’s Association.She was a loving wife and mother, and a multi-tasker before the word was even invented. Nadene was a great cook, loved reading, music, movies, dancing, and going to musicals. Even towards the end, she could solve more “Wheel of Fortune” puzzles than most of us. She loved her strong coffee with “no” sugar. Nadene was so proud of her independence when she reached 90. She was a giver with a big heart. A women who lived by example, and her love was unconditional.Nadene is survived by her sons; Vic LaTour, Randy LaTour, Tony LaTour, and Rick LaTour; sisters, Edith Blackburn and JoNelle Ramsey; nine grandchildren; seven, great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildrenVisitation for Nadene will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Restland Wildwood Chapel located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.
