Nader Anwar Fangary's Obituary
Nader Fangary, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the age of 67.
Nader was born on September 28, 1958, in Egypt to Anwar and Naema Fangary. He was the fifth of seven children and grew up deeply connected to his Christian Egyptian heritage, a source of pride that remained with him throughout his life.
As a young man, Nader served in the Egyptian Army and later worked as a specialist in telephone infrastructure. His strong work ethic and technical skills were evident early on and continued to shape the path of his life.
While studying at the European Christian College in Vienna, Austria, Nader met the love of his life, Rosemary Norton. Their shared faith brought them together, and they were married soon after.
In 1986, they moved to Texas to begin building their life and family in the United States. In Texas, Nader worked as a carpenter and electrician, taking on any work necessary to provide for his family.
In 1991, he proudly became a naturalized citizen of the United States, a milestone that meant a great deal to him. With determination and an entrepreneurial spirit, Nader went on to open his first business, Gilbert's Convenience Store, which was later rebuilt and operated as Seagoville Mini Mart.
After selling that business, he purchased a new property where he established Jack Quick Stop and Taco Casa. Through these ventures, he built a livelihood through hard work, perseverance, and dedication to his family.
Nader was known for his strong work ethic, his humor, and the pride he took in his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 38 years, and a proud father to their three children: John, Daniel, and Mary.
He loved introducing his children to others and celebrating their accomplishments. Outside of work, Nader enjoyed gardening and spending time in his greenhouse. He took great pleasure in growing oranges, lemons, pineapples, mangos, and guavas, which he often shared with family and friends.
He especially enjoyed making fresh juice from the fruit he grew and spending quiet moments in his greenhouse. Nader was deeply devoted to his faith. He was an active member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church where he faithfully served as a Ruling Elder.
He was also a past member of Arab Church of Dallas. At home, he adored his dog and loyal companion, Louis, who rarely left his side. Nader's life was defined by faith, perseverance, and devotion to his family.
His journey from Egypt to the United States reflected his courage, determination, and belief in building a better future through hard work. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anwar and Naema, and his siblings Nabil, Nadia, and Reda.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary; his children John and fiancé Maddie, Daniel and wife Merna, and Mary; his siblings Wissa, Nagy, and Abraham; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
