Nadine Fitzgerald Sellers' Obituary
Nadine Fitzgerald Sellers, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed peacefully to her heavenly home on December 1, 2024, at the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 80. She fought a long courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
Born on March 25, 1944, in Lamesa, Texas, Nadine's strength, compassion, and boundless love left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. From a young age, she exhibited a zest for life, and her nurturing nature led her to a career that spanned 29 years as a registered nurse. Nadine’s profound dedication to her profession was matched only by the unwavering love she had for her family and friends. She was not just a caregiver but a confidante and advocate, always offering comfort and care.
Nadine’s professional legacy is one of selflessness, empathy, and commitment, but her personal life was equally rich with love and adventure. She found joy in simple pleasures, from fishing on the Texas coast to family camping trips, where she cherished the outdoors and the company of her loved ones. Her kind heart and warm spirit made every gathering special, leaving lasting memories for her children, grandchildren, siblings, and friends.
Nadine is survived by her children: Douglas Wayne Bowles of San Antonio, TX, Sherri Williams and husband John of Celina, TX, her sister Lenora and husband Luke of Odonnell, TX; her grandchildren: Joshua Bowles of San Antonio, TX, Nicholas Williams of Debary, FL, Ashleigh Williams of Denton, TX, Laura Ficken of Fairview, TX, Michael Williams and wife Charissa of Derby, KS, four great-grandchildren ,and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas R. Fitzgerald and Goldie White Fitzgerald; her brothers, James Fitzgerald and Ronnie Fitzgerald; and her former husbands, Kenneth Reid and David A. Bowles.
Nadine’s legacy is one of grace, strength, and unwavering love. Even in the face of her illness, she remained an inspiration, approaching life with courage and dignity. While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the life she led, the love she gave, and the profound impact she had on everyone around her.
A memorial service to celebrate Nadine's life will be held at Trinity Baptist Church on May 18th, 2025, at 2:30pm.
