Nadine Wallentine's Obituary
Nadine was the first of 6 children born to Richard and Opal Hamiter, July 13, 1927 in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
During the Depression Era her parents moved their family to Dallas, Texas where Nadine would later graduate from Crozier Tech high school having excelled in academics and basketball.
Like many, Nadine became a post WWII bride and into this union were born three children, Darlene, Mike and Jan. Soon after she would become a single parent and a full-time valued office manager for V. Mueller Medical Supply (now Baxter Medical), Nadine faced the many joys and challenges of being a single parent until she married Joe Moffitt in 1957. Into this loving union, Kathy was born in 1958. Sadly, Joe Moffitt died suddenly in 1959.
Having learned how to live as a Christ-follower from the depression era onward, no matter what, Nadine did a remarkable job, again as a single mother of now 4 children while balancing a career in business, being a friend to all, active in her church and an excellent bowler.
In June of 1967 Nadine married Aaron Wallentine and enjoyed 36 years of happiness and well-deserved married life eventually retiring in the Tyler, Texas area until his passing in 2003. Later she would return to the Dallas area where she lived until her physical death, August 4, 2020 at the age of 93 years.
Her 4 children, their spouses, 9 grandchildren and spouses, 23 great-grandchildren, a brother Dan Hamiter and wife, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families, in addition to numerous friends, continue Nadine’s legacy of faith, determination and serving others.
