Nancy Sue Alvis' Obituary
Nancy was born May 24th in Tyler, Texas to Luther and LaRue Cloud and grew up with her sister, Louise Cloud Teel, who is two years older. Nancy finished high school where she was voted Class Secretary. That honor carried over to her career life where she worked for several years as the secretary to the president of First National Bank and also as a receptionist. She met and married Bill Alvis and had three children subsequently. She is the proud mother of Michael, Susan and Sharon Alvis. After her first born she became a stay-at-home mom and was very active as Vice President of the PTA. Nancy and Bill enjoyed traveling and have been to places including England, Turkey, Scotland, Ireland, Berlin, Moscow, Alaska and many more. When she was not traveling she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, wine at home and watching the show “Friends”. Graveside Service for Nancy will take place at 4:00 pm on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Restland Memorial Chapel, Section Y.
