Nancy was a friend and neighbor while I lived in Dallas and a very close of my ex-wife, Katherine Goldman. She was a very warm and funny person. I appreciate when she took care of my dogs when I went out of town. She would always stop by while she was walking her beagle, Pete. I am so shocked and saddened to read of her passing. And I know Kathy will miss her ever day of her life. She had a wonderful spirit. My most sincere condolences to her family and friends.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family at this time. I have worked at Baylor for 24 years, as both a supervisor and staff nurse in Recovery Room. Some of my happiest moments were when I would see Nancy coming through the door to Recovery Room with a smiling face, knowing she was going to handle all the problems I had, and take care of them professionally, easily, thoroughly. She was a joy to know. We worked together in many capacities and if we saw each other somewhere in the hospital, know matter what she was involved in, Nancy would smile, and I might get a quck hug, but Nancy was this way with everyone. I was one of many who knew our days were always going to be better because Nancy was with us. I will miss her greatly. God bless all the family for sharing her with us.
I met Nancy at BUMC, but have known her through our shared friendship with Kathy Goldman as well. I will always remember Nancy's welcoming smile and bright eyes! She had a great laugh! She always shined when she spoke of her family, especially her grandchildren. Nancy will be missed! My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family during this most difficult and unanticipated time.

I was fortunate be in a group that included Nancy Barrett, Kathy Goldman, and Deb Kirby for a trip to Spain. I'd never met Nancy before, but she proved to be a delightful traveling companion and I am grateful for having the opportunity to get to know her. Those who had her as a regular part of their lives are fortunate indeed and the world is a sadder place without her. She is fondly remembered. My sympathies go out to her family and close friends.
I have only known Nancy a few short years. I have mostly worked with Nancy as a nurse educator. She is inspiring and a joy to be around. I will miss her sense of humor, laughter and can do attitude. My sincere sympathy goes out to her family, Nancy will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Nancy clearly touched so many lives during her years on this earth… I had the pleasure of working with her for the past 10 years at Baylor. She taught us all so much, and was a shining example of the differences a great nurse makes in the lives of all they touch. Carl and I knew Nancy for many years and we enjoyed our numerous double dates with her and Rick. Whether it was a Superbowl party or the symphony, we always had so much fun.
