Nancy Faulconer's Obituary
Nancy “Nanny” Faulconer passed away peacefully on April 8, 2021, in Richardson, Texas. She was born on February 7, 1939, in Syracuse, New York. A loving mother, devoted sister, and compassionate friend to many, she had many jobs throughout her life, but without a doubt, her favorite was being Nanny to her four granddaughters: Abby, Ashlyn, and Annie Sutton, and Shea Faulconer. A very active church member, she sponsored many people into the Catholic faith through The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, which was another cherished part of her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved baby, Heidi, sister Suzanne, and her parents, Martha and Harold Keenan and father, William Shea. Aside from her granddaughters, she is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Drude Faulconer, her son Derek Faulconer and daughter Melissa Faulconer Sutton, son-in-law David Sutton and daughter-in law Dianna Faulconer, grandson David Shane Sutton, his wife Katie Sutton, and great-grandson David Brooks Sutton, sister Patricia Keenan Daniel and family, brother Daniel Keenan and family, brother John Keenan, her beloved chihuahuas, Molly and Stevie, and many other incredibly important family members and lifelong friends.
Service will be held on April 17, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Richardson, Texas, her home parish for over forty years.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to two of her favorite charities, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Deep thanks are owed to Dr. Charles Banta, and The Reserve in Richardson, where she was loved and cared for in her last days by her nurses, Caitlin, Patricia, Shanale (Quinton), and Debra, and many more.
